Influencers aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Influencer marketing continues to grow in its popularity. For many, being an influencer seems like a dream. This lifestyle seems almost too good to be true, doesn’t it?
There is a common misconception that influencers do not work that hard, which is quite far from the truth. Like just about everything, being an influencer has its pros and cons. It is not all just a glamorous lifestyle and posting videos and pictures every now and then. It takes hard work, dedication, and some thick skin.
The best influencers engage with their audience, no matter the size. They take time to answer questions and start conversations. They stay active on their respective platforms and publish content consistently. They also like and care about their niches and markets. In addition, influencer passion and authenticity go together!
In that sense, Jose Carlos Gutiérrez Sánchez, better known as Kaiser Jc, is a young Mexican influencer who is revolutionizing social networks in Latin America. His success story began in the pandemic when instead of giving up due to the difficult circumstances that everyone was going through, he decided to enter the world of social media.
“Tik Tok was the platform that made me be recognized as an influencer, reaching more than 3 million subscribers in a very short time. Later I expanded to platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, among others, also getting a large number of followers”, Jose shares.
Nowadays, he has worked in various commercial campaigns, in series and in theater. Jose is also an ambassador for several recognized brands, which has allowed him to be a special guest at exclusive events, red carpets, fashion shows and many more.
But that’s not all! Jose is really interested in social causes and has collaborated for several years with “Fundación Lince”, a non-profit organization for the conservation of biodiversity, nature and wildlife in Mexico.
For Jose, being an influencer is not an easy job but a full-time occupation to which he dedicates all his effort and time. He manages to stand out from the crowd by creating unique content, transmitting a clear message to his followers, publishing constant content and having a great engagement with his wide community.
“My content is different from the others because despite the fact that I adopted a style called POV (Point of View) to make videos, each video is unique and with a different plot inspired by novels that I readed in my childhood,combined with my favorite series. This results in unique videos that people enjoy watching, also most of the time I like to leave a message or life lesson to add value to my content”, Jose explains.
However, he knows that becoming an influencer may be hard. The influencer world is very saturated and highly competitive, that’s why influencers need to be different in order to stand out. Jose advises all people trying to make a name for themselves in the industry to make content related to something they’re passionate about, to find their niche, to surround themselves with the right people and to put aside prejudices and criticisms!
“You have to be very clear about the message you want to give and the public that is going to consume it. Remember that things do not come in the blink of an eye, everything takes time. You have to be focused on what you want and be patient”, Jose details.
When asked about success, he said that for him the word means being able to be proud and happy with what he has done so far and with the decisions he has made. And that is exactly how Jose feels about his life and his job!
What’s more, Jose loves to travel and learn about different cultures! Like Saint Agustine once said, the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page. From a very early age, Jose showed interest in travel and this passion led him to visit more than 36 countries on different continents.
Despite all the work that he has already done, he isn’t planning on slowing down any time soon. He details his next steps below:
“Among my future projects is opening a new YouTube channel dedicated to travel, studying a master’s degree in digital marketing and dedicating myself to creating better quality content every day and in different languages to reach more people. I also plan to launch my own line of eco-friendly clothing.”
